This one was good. I like the ridiculous situations such as a half sister taking the place at a house party even though she‘s not a lady. I‘m close to a bingo here #bookspinbingo

An unconventional heroine impersonating her half-sister in a competition to win the hand of a thoroughly disreputable duke. Nods to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (I particularly enjoyed Lady Augusta and her "appetite" *waggledy eyebrows*). A capsized rowboat. Drinking chocolate for the masses. I thoroughly enjoyed this and am eager for the next.
Making my way through a list of romances that Sarah MacLean has recommended. I have had this one for what seems like forever.
I have been hearing good reviews of LB's books and my only regret after reading this was I wished I picked it up earlier. It was a fun read set in a context that was cleverly disguised as The Bachelor in Regency times. However LB also gives some interesting historical knowledge to artifacts that are valued in modern times its roots in the novel.
Fun, zippy read. I particularly liked one of the secondary characters, Alice Tombs, who was hilarious. Hope she gets her own book! I liked the lead character's, Charlene's, spirit and caring nature. How could the Duke resist??

If you're looking for a fun regency romp read this book!
The Duke must marry! He has chosen four lovely ladies as candidates to be his bride. A three day stay at the Duke's country estate...what could go wrong?
In this Bachelor's Game with a Duke who has much in common with Will Wonka (Depp version) what Lady could resist? #romantsy #osrbc
🚨Please have chocolate ready when reading this book!🚨
Stationary. Because it's Target and I have no self-control.😏😜
The book somehow successfully combines a Prince and the Pauper style bait & switch with an engrossing romance. I read it in one sitting.
This was a great debut from Lenora Bell. An unusual #romantsy between a down-on-her-luck heroine and a jaded duke. #historicalromance #bookblogger

I wish there was a rating that perfectly captures "this was an entertaining read, but it wasn't quite for me." Because it was entertaining! It made me smile and giggle, but I kept thinking "that would never happen!!" Maybe I'm not enough of a romantic to read romance. But all of the bickering ladies and mothers were HIGHLY entertaining.
I need something a little lighthearted after THE BONE CLOCKS. I don't usually read pure romance, but I'm trying to break out of my norms. So here it goes!
Don't usually read pure romance but throughly enjoyed this one, perfect summer read!
Keeping the pic plain here because the book is so vivid! Absolutely phenomenal heroine. An unrefined duke who wants to bring chocolate to the masses (dawwww). There's an incredibly hot and sensual scene involving cocoa butter, need I say more?
This was going ok for me, far fetched but ok and then this cropped up...
A bit of historical romance for my Monday commute! Such a pretty cover too. #romance #amreading #regency
