Koshka couldn't handle all of the intense action, so she went to the other end of the couch. THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD. I feel like either @Liberty or Rebecca suggested this one on the podcast... SO GOOD!

I CAN'T STOP READING THIS BOOK! I should go to the gym, go to work, be a normal adult, but I don't know if I can! Koshka and I give it thumbs and paws up so far.

I really, really wanted to enjoy this one. However, for some reason, I wasn't drawn into it. It's beautifully written, but I wasn't able to immerse myself.

Completely engrossing. I read it in one weekend because I just couldn't put it down! Liane Moriarty explores domestic violence, at times being funny as hell, and other times incredibly alarming. I would laugh one minute and gasp the next.

Read this book of you want to be lured into a sense of safety and then have that safety net ripped out from under you. Norton seems bumbling and pompous, but this book is not what I expected at all! Koshka is equally upset. If could say something to Norton, it would be: "What the flying fuck, Norton?!"

As I continue to read on my flight home, I'm getting more and more disturbed... I don't want to give anything away, but this story is becoming stranger by the minute...

Norton is growing on me! He seemed very pompous and egotistical at the beginning, but I'm drawn in (yet again) by Hanya's mad skills.

Dear lord... is this really how society thinks women can be treated? I'm sure it's an exaggeration, but it terrifies me to my very core. This book may not be for the faint hearted, but it will take a hold of you and force you to think. I couldn't get it out of my mind.

I LOVED this book. T.C. Boyle really made me think. I was on such a rollercoaster of emotions the whole time. How would I react if I was in that situation? What would I have done differently? I think it casts an interesting light on human relations.

I have so much reading to do for work, and it's been crazy busy with the holidays, but all I want to do is FINISH THIS DAMN BOOK! I just got to a major Dawn-twist. Is everyone going crazy in this book? Well, if I was trapped in a dome, I might go crazy too... GAH!

After four very long car rides, it looks like someone is happy to be back home! Now it's time to read more...

My second audiobook on my Thanksgiving trip. It was so fascinating and truly heartbreaking. I would strongly recommend it. And that's my celebratory beer once the drive was done.

This was such a great driving companion! The narrator was terrific, and we got some great backstory on Will and Faith. For all y'all Will Trent fans out there, this is a must read!

I stopped into Firestorm in Asheville! The anarchist bookstore with a great selection.

I'm out of town for a week, and I'll admit I brought six books with me. Just in case. Oh! And two audiobooks for the drive! Time to start THE TERRANAUTS!

During long drives, I am so grateful for audiobooks. And FALLEN by Karin Slaughter definitely helped keep me awake during the 11 hour drive to my parents' house!

An interesting read. But all of the changing perspectives were jarring for me sometimes. There were parts that were very thrilling, though, and really engaging. If you are in the mood for a good modern western, this is for you!

Nothing but distractions from this cat... but I started this modern western mystery today! It's getting better with every page.

I loved this one. I started reading it in NYC, and it was such fun to read it in the same place the book is set in! Delightful, refreshing, and with great messages about our beauty industry, women in the workplace, and how women view their bodies. Read it.

Also, I'm trying to read my next book, and Koshka keeps trying to distract me...

Taking a little break from THE HUMBLING, and picking up this for the weekend at Book Riot Live. I needed something a little lighter after this week we've been having... P.S. I love the cover.

Starting THE HUMBLING on this Election Day! I used to work in the theatre, so I think this one will be interesting...

I wasn't able to get into this one... I haven't much other Walter Mosley books, specifically books in this series, so I think I'm missing some backstory that could have helped draw me in. Still, Easy is a cool guy to spend some time with. (This message brought to you by Koshka)
