There are so many, but what a great choice?!
“The First lady of civil rights”
“The mother of the freedom movement”

Following her refusal to give up her seat in the “coloureds section” of a segregated bus to a white man, Parks became a key figure in the #CivilRightsMovement. It was interesting to read in Susan Cain‘s book, Quiet, that Parks had the characteristics of introversion, demonstrating that introversion is not a weakness.

Although I‘ve skimmed through the Little People, Big Dreams book on Rosa Parks in a bookstore, I‘ll like to read the tagged book, her autobiography.

Happy 106th Birthday to the little lady that was brave enough to say No. She paved the way for doors to be open for me. Thank you Mrs. Parks. #RosaParks #Birthdays #BlackHistoryMonth
