I actually wrote my senior capstone paper over this poetry collection so I could go on for days about this collection… what it breaks down to however is it‘s filled with great poems that challenge gender stereotypes but don‘t quite branch over into being true feminist poetry. Still amazing.

#ReadingUnderTheLitfluence First I see some posts about Addonizio's latest, Bukowski in a Sundress. Then I see lots of posts about various book fests, decide my bookish side needs to get out more, and discover SF's Litquake is hosting Addonizio's book launch on Tuesday. So I borrow this one from the library and I'm blown away! Now I just hope I can make the event. Oh, and #Zeus approves since there's one called Cat Poem. 😻

Zelma That event sounds like fun. I was supposed to go to the Austin Book Fest this fall but cancelled my trip. Next year though! (Austin is in driving distance so realistic for me) 8y

LizKay I've read a few of her books, most of the poetry, a novel (My Dreams out on the Street) and some of a short fiction book but can't remember the title. My two favorites are this and another book of poetry called "Tell Me." 8y
