pickA different pandemic, but their fears played into how the characters interacted with each other and amped up the tensions between them. Lady Darby is due to give birth soon, so she‘s pressed for time trying trying to solve a murder and uncover the identity of an unknown writer stirring up trouble for her in the ton.
pickThis was my #doublespin for January! It's a sweet, vintage read. I loved Caroline's spunk 😊
It was also fun to discover an old library card inside! I love finding little treasures like that in old books.

pickI finally jumped back into this series! I think it‘s been 2 years since I read the last one. This one has Keira and Gage back in London. There is a burking, so of course everyone is suspicious and snubbing Keira. They have 2 crimes they‘re trying to solve in this one. I‘m really enjoying this series and glad I picked it back up. I think this might be the 7th in the series.

pickFirst book in a mystery series, it offered me a very enjoyable read, perfect for relaxing. It's the type of books, I put in my guilty pleasure stack. It's a perfect palate cleanser, or a perfect read if you need a pick-me-up. While the crime is gruesome, romance is very present. The plot is very predictable, the romance part as well, but sometimes it's what you need ;)
so-soThis was okay-ish. It reminded me a lot of Deanna Raybourn's Lady Julia Grey series. Not sure I'll continue reading the Lady Darby series, though.
The mystery wasn't very mysterious for me and I didn't really fall for the characters.
pickThis is one of my favorite series, and this may be the best installment so far. I love the main characters who populate the series, but the others are just as well drawn. A great mystery, complicated but not not mind-bending. Unlike some of the other books in this series, I think you could enjoy this without having read all the previous ones. And as always, ALH has ended it with a cliffhanger.

I‘m always happy when a new book in a favorite series releases. This one came out on Tuesday, and the only reason I‘ve waited three days to start reading it is because I knew that if I did, I‘d never finish the book in progress. Anxious to start. This has been my best reading month in a long time.
