Finally some nice weather after the wildfire smoke took over and then a few days of much needed rain. Going to try and get some pages in this evening. Not sure if I'll like this book as I've never really found a book I liked that passes over a very short amount of time (I believe 3 days in this book) - but still excited to dig in!

After a fun day of water play in the backyard with the kiddos it is time to read. It is a perfect evening to do some backyard reading with a cold dragonfruit tea. I'm quite enjoying The Rent Collector so far. It has captured me since the first page.

We had a busy day at a family BBQ today - lots of sun, swimming and eating. We are finally home and the kids are in bed. Picked up a delicious Strawberry Acai drink on the way home to enjoy in the backyard with my current read. It is perfect weather for some outdoor reading.

It is brutally hot here so what better than a beer and a book in the backyard while dad plays with the kiddos. I really enjoyed A History of Loneliness by John Boyne so I'm hoping this book is just as good.
