4.25⭐️ Really liked the book. While the book read a bit simplistic, it was very well written. The story flowed well and I enjoyed the story as well. #2025 #biographicalfiction #historicalfiction #fiction #wwii #holocaust #bookclub

It was good to have a book that I was sucked into, making time, avoiding most of life distractions to read - because I missed that need, that drive. But overall, this book was just depressing about how hard it is to trust and react with love in a way that is not messed up by being human/messy. #ReadICT category multiple pts of view. #bookclub #LitPie #ApplePie

4.5⭐️ I really liked the book. This was chosen for my Monday library #bookclub meeting for this month. This was one of those books that I had borrowed a number of times but never got around to reading. I was really surprised as to how much enjoyed it. #2025 #historicalfiction #fiction #lgbt #literaryfiction

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A story of the Haenyeo, the all-female diving collective of Jeju Island, South Korea. These badass women immerse themselves in dangerous work harvesting seafood. This is the kind of historical fiction I‘m down for as I was not previously familiar with this fascinating culture. This follows the two friends through decades of tumult. A very difficult read at times. Prepare to cry. #bookclub

britt_brooke @BarbaraBB So glad my book club chose it because I‘m not sure I would‘ve picked it up otherwise. 6d

This isn‘t a book I would‘ve picked up on my own, but it‘s fascinating. This is why I love my book club!

The Girls | Lori Lansens

repost for @Jess861:

Excited to announce that our second pick for the #OhCanada Book Club will be The Girls by Lori Lansens - a fictional book about conjoined twins. I flipped a coin because the vote was tied. This book club will run every two months, so this will be the March/April book. Excited to continue the Canadian book journey!

All are welcome to join! Let me know if you want to be added to the tag list!
