My sweet, sweet 6 year old started 1st grade today! 😭 Loved the “Awesome students enter here” sidewalk chalk by the front door. Can‘t wait to hear about his day! 📖✏️📓🔬☀️

britt_brooke @MommyOfTwo Yes, it‘s pretty early. They get about 9 weeks of summer (they get out right before Memorial Day), 1 week fall break, 2 weeks at xmas, 1 week spring break. It has worked out well as he is more than ready to go back, but summer went quickly! 6y

britt_brooke @MicheleinPhilly I know! It seems early but we‘re used to it now. They get a lot of nice breaks during the school year. 6y
TEArificbooks My school growing up was always mid August to mid May and now that is my boys schedule too. We start back next Monday, get the whole thanksgiving week off, 2 weeks Christmas and spring break off. 6y
britt_brooke @mdm139 Very similar to our schedule. I like having the much-needed breaks throughout the school year. My son was beyond ready to go back. 6y
