🎶Rows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons every where
I‘ve looked at clouds that way.......Joni Mitchell

I read Little Cloud to LO most days before nap. Though the clouds on Long Flight Home are foreboding, it‘s one of my favorite covers. Secret of Clouds is a book I want to read; the others are just pretty. ☁️ Can you tell I love clouds ☁️?

”They sat side by side on a thick, white cumulus #cloud the size of a small town. The cloud was soft beneath them, and a little cold. It became colder the deeper into it one sank, and Tristran pushed his burned hand as far as he could down into the fabric of it: it resisted him slightly, but accepted his hand. The interior of the cloud felt spongy and chilly, real and insubstantial at once.”

Pickpick

Day 11 - #cloud #springintoreading

I enjoyed Cloudsplitter. Banks made the key people of the antislavery movement come to life. Narrated by John Brown's son, Owen, we learn the details of his father's passion to free the slaves and his capture at Harper's Ferry and his hanging. Informative about 19th century American life. Recommend this book to those who are interested in the antislavery movement. John Brown changed the course of history.

Theaelizabet Can‘t tell you how long this has been sitting on my shelves. One of these days... 5y
EadieB @Theaelizabet I had it awhile but really enjoyed it once I started to read it! 5y

kspenmoll @Nute You are so welcome! It‘s a lovely book of poetry, put together by Georgia Heard, to help children right after 9/11.That event really changed my son,he was in first grade at the time.We visited relatives in NY often & he loved the Twin Towers.Like so many,we also have a close friend who lost her brother. He lost his innocence that day. This poetry helped - (edited) 5y
