#25Alive!

Soup is warmth, soup is comfort, soup is love… It‘s not just my #FaveWinterFood (joining the #soupbrigade here) it‘s a favorite food always.

I post about this book a lot, it‘s my favorite soup cookbook & a just favorite cookbook in general. Pictured are the Cauliflower Bisque with Buttered Breadcrumbs & the Pickle Soup. 🥣💙🍲

So, the boxty on the griddle is a little too salty for me. 🤣 But I‘m always down for any recipe that‘s mostly potato cooked in bacon grease. #DinnerByTheBook

After a much needed nap, it‘s time to start cooking & baking again. 😄

This book is likely to be a new favorite. First recipe is a tag for #Mtcookbook.

Happy Festivities to one and all!

Cathythoughts You‘re great for the baking ! I‘ve done a lot of cooking too, not so much baking though.. Happy holiday season my lovely Litsy friend ❤️🌲 4w

Two more recipes crossed off my #Mtcookbook list!

Cincinnati chili is always a hit!

The Korean Fire Chicken was okay, but to be honest I didn‘t follow the broiling instructions. Next time I will because I‘m sure it makes a difference. Also, this brand of gochujang is a tad too sweet for my taste.

mabell Yum Cincinnati Chili! Haven‘t made that for years! We always use the Joy of Cooking recipe 2mo
Tamra @mabell you should make it this winter! I usually make it once or twice a year. 2mo

Pickpick

Here‘s another Canadian cookbook I chose for #foodandlit this month. Standout recipes that I want to try are toasted garlic soup 🤤 and wild rice and mushroom soup. There are also a ton of beautiful pictures of the Canadian countryside. 4⭐️
