My friend & I spent the day in beautiful,quaint,yet sophisticated,Guilford, CT. Backroads were flush with autumn colors🍁🍁,skies blue,sun shining.Light sweater weather.Twice a year we chose an indie bookstore(s)to visit.In Breakwater Books,lots of poetry,regional books,comprehensive fiction section,smaller non-fiction, & of course Halloween,horror themed books.Staff were friendly & knowledgeable.Lunch:turkey,lettuce on sour dough bread. #daytrip

Bookwormjillk I always try to stop at Bishop‘s Orchard when I drive through Guilford. I didn‘t realize there were book stores too! 4mo

StaceGhost @kspenmoll it‘s such a sweet town— how I imagine star hollow from Gilmore girls lol it‘s pretty far from us but we get to visit every thxgiving & it‘s a fabulous train ride 4mo

My son & I went to our first art museum post Covid. Museums just started to reopen. The Lyman Allyn Art Museum collection is housed in a gorgeous building. It‘s grounds include a sculpture walk. This gem was one we have never visited so it was a joy to be there. My son is a fan of Road Food (Michael & Jane Stern) so we lunched first at a place they recommended in New London. Weather was perfect:breezy,70s,blue skies.
