#wintergames #thefilthyanimals #xmastreecontest I LOVE Christmas and I LOVE brooches. Recently I‘ve become interested in the technique of millefiori as it relates to how it is used on polymer jewelry. What sparked my interest were these amazing Christmas tree pins (made in the millefiori tradition.) They sparkle, twinkle, and dazzle on my winter coat! They are fun little pieces of Christmas art. The tagged book is a great intro to the art!

In Denmark we usually have real trees as Christmas trees so we don't have a decorated 🎄at home by now. This tree is at work where we can't have real trees.

3.5⭐️

Taking a well rounded approach to the history of the diamond industry, this book provides the reader with information on the history (both good and bad) of the industry, details on how diamonds are made and found, and the process of how they start in the ground to when they end up in jewelry. I really enjoyed the focus on the mafia style actions of the De Beers company and stories behind the discovery and ownership of diamonds

As well as being a raving book nerd I am also a broochie. I manage to combine my 2 passions sometimes. Recently, for book week, I was reading books, talking books and wearing books!

One of my best friends is moving across the country and decided not to take much with her. She sent me several gorgeous photography books. I‘ve had my eye on this one for years for it‘s photos of authentic jewelry. ❤️

#SelfImprovementSeptember #hobby I feel like more of a bead book and bead hoarder lately.I realize I haven‘t made anything in a long time , and have given away all the pieces I made as gifts! Need to start making stuff again.

Good story, but rather slow. I enjoyed it, but dont think it's one of Michaels best.
Megan Venturi never really wanted to return to her hometown of Seldon. When her Grandfather suddenly passes away, Meg finds herself, unexpectedly, the owner of his antique jewelry business. The catch: she must share ownership with a man who she despises, Riley, and with a dark past.

Second book completed during the #24in48 #readathon .

This is the second in the Amory Ames mystery series, and it was as fun as the first. Amory, with her playboy husband Milo, set off the solve two mysteries, which may be the same culprit. Amory is strong, and I‘m really not a fan of Milo. Plus, Amory, wittingly or unwittingly, seems to grab the attention of the most unsavory guy in the group. Fun historical mystery. #CozyInTheSun
