My last read of the summer. I figured it was short enough to squeeze in before school started & would be nice to knock out before I started the September seminar on CLR James that I‘m taking with the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research! 🙂

Tremendous overview of the history of fascism in the US.

When I heard Carla Bergman talk about joy and unschooling and Ursula K. Le Guin (and more!) on the Coffee with Comrades podcast (ep. 117), I immediately ordered their book JOYFUL MILITANCY: BUILDING THRIVING RESISTANCE IN TOXIC TIMES, co-authored with Nick Montgomery. My copy arrived in the mail today! 💕
