Our thoughts create our world and our words indicate our thoughts. Complaining about an illness will neither shorten its duration nor lessen its severity. It is vital that we control our minds in order to re-create our lives. Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
A quick read on personal finance tips. Some of the points were basic, but I did learn some new things. I‘m in my late 20‘s and have been a college student for the past 4 years working part time here and there and I hadn‘t really thought about money as much as I should have. But now being married and with a baby on the way—I‘m thinking about it more. Budgeting is hard! But we‘ll get better.
Recommend.
This was slow going for me at first, I debated DNFing it and returning it to the library. I‘m glad I didn‘t…it got better as I read on. Most of these essays are from her columns from Cleveland Plain Dealer and The Beacon Journal. This was a random pick off my library‘s shelf. Published in 2010. She is one of 11 kids, a single mom for 18 years, married at 40. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Eating homemade slow cooker lentil and bacon soup (let me know if you would recommend any slow cooker cook books) and doing some Litsy snooping whilst I finalise what to get my Xmas book swaps! (Their taste is too good bag now I just want all the books they want too!) 😂

The moral of this story is good things come to those who wait. A big surprise I know. This book has the usual Boys Town formula. However, that doesn‘t make it good. It feels like a book told in sunday school, or preschool. The entire point is the lesson, not the story. Which makes me a bit sad since this book could have been so much more. The character is a repeat and they are very likeable, if only the book would give that a chance to grow.
A complaint free world sounds really lovely. But is it realistic?
Let‘s be honest: we all complain.
Through this book you are encouraged to go 21 days without complaining and because of it will notice a healthier, happier lifestyle.
I have way eased up on complaining over the past few years but this book really helps keep things in focus. Nothing is wrong with trying to be more positive!
I just had to post a close-up of this gorgeous notebook from @jenniferw88 - it‘s so me!
It‘s personalised with my name as well and I just love all the little comments on the squirrel - I *think* nervous scratchy cling things is my fave but I like the ‘abject terror‘ expression too!
It‘s perfect timing as I can use it in my new job!
We are not omniscient. Our knowledge and understanding of correct principles is limited by our own lack of awareness of our true nature and the world around us and by the flood of trendy philosophies and the theories that are not in harmony with correct principles. These ideas ideas will have their season of acceptance, but like many before them, they wont endure because they are built on false foundation.
