I am not generally a fan of books that make me sad, but this one was an exception. It was so well written, so evocative of time and place, and so thought-provoking. A 5-Star read for sure.

This was the #LiteraryCrew selection for July, and I enjoyed our discussion, as always. @Librarybelle

Never in my life did I expect to root for a serial killer.

This was fun! I really enjoyed Lottie's inner musings, her self-made moral compass, and how her advance age was now working against her.
Placing the daily life of a retiree alongside that of a serial killer creates such a distinctive backdrop.

If you're looking for a clever, gripping thriller infused with humour and wit, look no further.

I loved this book and completely recommend it. It seems that a lot of witches or just me tend to ignore the Gods in favor of the Goddesses. This book discusses the Gods like Pan and Cernunnos, those that fit the Horned archetype. It's very informative and well written.
I listened to the audiobook which was also good for pronunciations 💙

DGRachel I do the same. For me, it‘s a healing focus - I look to the Goddesses to work through internalized patriarchy and misogyny, to help me find and use my voice. Also, my mentors have the same focus, so that‘s probably part of it. 🤔 1w
BookwormAHN @DGRachel I have a similar focus plus the insanity of Catholic school. But I may delve into some of the Gods to help let some of it go. 1w
