Even when he becomes a vampire, Louis tries his best to be always #merciful with other human beings.
His pain and his eternal struggle between his new nature and his human soul are clearly exposed more in the book than in the movie.

#MayCharacters Day 16: We need to be #merciful to our lost souls. This story made me think about the things that we value, how they define us, and the ever-pressing need to just sit still every once in awhile – maybe not for years at a time similar to John in this story – but enough for us to catch our breath, and for our lost souls to reunite with us.
