This story I would not use personally in my classroom in an elementary setting, however it is a beautiful read that could be incorporated in high school with a move pairing.

Me Before You written by Jojo Moyes(2012) is a contemporary realistic fiction book that is a look upon adult relationships, personal choices, and emotional complexities that can resonate with older teens or young adults. It sensitively approaches real-life issues such as independence, caregiving, and the struggle for control over one's life, which can be eye-opening for younger readers about adult life.
Not your typical romance especially in today‘s standards but intimate nonetheless. A reread for me but a book that I hold near to my heart. Hopefully have enough bravery to continue with the series to see where Louisa‘s life goes!
If you‘re looking for a book to make you cry here it is🎁📖🥲

This book (and movie, which I saw afterward) was so moving in the best and worst ways. Lou and Will‘s relationship is sweet and quirky, but hinges on a heartbreaking decision for Will… yes I did shed a tear😢 I haven‘t read the books after this one though, so if anyone recommends them please lmk!
I'm really late to reading this book. Well past the hype from when it was initially released. I really enjoyed it. I found the characters likeable and wanted to find out what happened. It's a tough topic to consider but it was handled with sensitivity.
Month 6 complete. 12 books crossed off my TBR. 90/120 for 2022. 😊

Gosh there are just too many books that made me cry, I‘m sappy like that, but the most memorable would just have to be this 🥲
So good, great cry! 🥲 Now to watch the movie so I can cry some more. 🥹
Day #2 for the June #BookMoods challenge is also my #Doublespin pick for this month! This movie is so sweet!! Thanks for hosting @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks & @Eggs 🥰

There were many to choose from but this resonated with me. A memorable book that until today, I have not read After You as I just didn‘t want it to spoil that special feeling!
A beautiful romance between a quadriplegic and his caregiver. But love doesn't overcome all. A hard ending. It left me mad.
Me before you was my first ever book by Jojo Moyes which I picked accidentally. But I am so glad I picked it. Really enjoyed reading it. The story was different and written beautifully.
“You only get one life. It's actually your duty to live it as full as possible “ …. This book makes me cry every time !

Louisa takes a job taking care of William, a quadriplegic.
I have started this book at least twenty times since it came out. So I‘m glad that it was available as an audiobook. I liked the book, and the movie is pretty spot on with the book except to take out some of the heavier stuff that the book had in it.
This is one of those books where most people condemned but I actually liked it. I‘ve watched and enjoyed the movie version too. I have yet to read After You though. #lover #conflictedworlds @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

This is the only book I could think of with a disability, and I haven‘t even read or seen the movie (just saw movie posters).
I decided to take a small break from reading YA, and try something new, and this book was definitely was different in a good way. It was such a funny yet emotional book with a plot that is uncomplicated yet has so many small questionable choices. The MC Lou was so bubbly, I loved her personality in contrast to Will's cold demeanor, their dynamics really developed and I loved both their perspectives on life. The ending was so bittersweet!
As I'm watching Me before you again, here we go with the quote that I love most for #ThinkPositiveBePositive by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @TheSpineView
Thanks @Eggs for the tag ❤
I can‘t believe I‘ll say this, but I prefer the movie
