3 ⭐ This book was weird and at times confusing. Lady Heyn is a monster who needs to feed. A beautiful monster, but she just wants to go home. And historical gold rush town of mine that‘s also a portal to another dimension exist. Through monsters who can take the shape of humans or steal the bodies of humans and live in them have taken over. These monsters want to go home, but at the same time they just want to feed. This book was an interesting

LibrarianRyan ride. The illustrations are great, but there are seems to be holes or questions still left within the story. While I really enjoyed it, I can‘t say three months from now I will remember what it was. 6mo

This is the first book of 2024 and it's also a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read. I loved this graphic novel and the world building and the art. Highly recommend this one. #bookspin @thearomaofbooks

Suet624 I have such a strange relationship to this poem. We needed to learn and recite it in seventh grade. However, the teacher was a drinker during class and despite the fact that I had already recited it he said I hadn‘t because he had slept through it. I refused to recite it again. He also never explained to us that this was from Shakespeare. I had no idea until now. 3y
Eggs @Suet624 yes that is strange🤔 3y

I was recommended this book by a progressive Christian to help deal with with some hard times I was going through. This is not a progressive book, it is Evangelical and I have serious theological disagreements with Evangelicals. So keep that in mind. Otherwise, there were some real beautiful parts that dealt with grief and pain without pushing it to the side for toxic positivity.
