I haven‘t yet participated in the #MissReadAlong (although I want to), but nine of her books are #kindledeals today. #kindledeal #ebook

saresmoore Oh, dear, looks like I‘ll be buying some Kindle books! 5y
LeahBergen I‘m reading Village Diary right now and loving it. ❤️ 5y

I‘ve just started my first Miss Read novel and finding it a perfect companion for this rainy day.

rockpools Gorgeous picture, as always! Miss Read reminds me of the library van, for some reason- must have been a series my gran used to borrow. 5y
catebutler I love the little stories and occurrences in a small English village. It‘s just a lovely, cozy, comfort read. I‘m working my way through this one too! 5y
LeahBergen @RachelO What a nice memory! I bet your Gran did read them; they were super popular in the 1950s and 60s. I remember spotting the odd old Penguin paperback from this author in my teen secondhand book-shopping days. 😄 5y

LeahBergen @catebutler That‘s a perfect way to describe this book! I‘m sure I‘m going to love the rest of the books in the #MissReadAlong, too. 😊 5y
elkeOriginal You need to use the #onleahsshelf tag. I want this to become a top Litsy hashtag 😘 5y
LeahBergen @elkeo_TheBookDragon 😆😆 I probably should, at least for some of the weirder/older ones. Except I‘d feel a bit sorry for the person who unwittingly clicks on that hashtag and thinks, “What IS this pile of crap?” 😆😆 5y
jillrhudy Prozac in book form. What a lovely edition too. 5y
rubyslippersreads I can‘t believe I‘ve never read any Miss Read (even though a friend has been “pushing” them for ages. 😄) 5y

A few things I‘m looking forward to this month:

1. Catching up on the #MissReadalong discussion. I‘m so enjoying each novel we‘ve been reading monthly.
2. Creating new spreads for my journal (the one pictured is a favourite from last month).
3. Receiving photos and Skype calls of my adorable niece, who was born last week.
4. All the little signs of spring that are finally popping up.

What are you looking forward to this month?

BiblioLitten Another gorgeous pic💞 I'm looking forward to Spring Festivals and my brother's 25th birthday🎇 6y
catebutler @BiblioLitten Thank you!!! Your April plans sound so fun! This time of year is always filled with activities and good times. 🌸 6y

Snow, snow and more snow is in the forecast for us. So a cozy weekend inside is the plan. I‘ll be surrounding myself with creature comforts: the last Valentine‘s Day blooms (I‘m always so sad to see them fade), a new mulberry tea, and the coziest of reads, another Thrush Green novel for the #MissReadAlong. I can‘t think of anything more charming than a book about an English village, when I‘m curled up inside, due to temperamental weather.

rubyslippersreads I've never read any Miss Read, but they sound lovely. 6y
catebutler @rubyslippersreads I think you‘d love them! They‘re so idyllic and just a fun escapist read. Each book focuses around little stories about the people who live in a quaint English village. 6y
somebooksaround This looks so cozy! 🙌 6y

wanderlustforwords Are you snowed in this weekend? If you are are you cooking/baking any goodies? 6y
catebutler @josteele Thank you so much, Jo! With the weather we‘re having, I‘m all about the cozy! Hope you‘re having a delightful weekend, yourself! 6y
catebutler @wanderlustforwords Yes, I am! Today it‘s been snowing all day. I‘m hoping tomorrow might let up a bit so I can go out for a while. If not, more cozy reading and yes, baking is it the works. I have a new cookie recipe I‘ve been dying to try! How‘s your weekend going? 6y
wanderlustforwords @catebutler I figured you‘d be making some treats! 😌My weekend was ok. I worked all day Saturday, feeling a bit overwhelmed keeping up on volume of stock for the shop. Sunday was good, I did nothing! 6y
catebutler @wanderlustforwords It sounds like you had a great weekend, although quite busy! I‘m glad Sunday was a slow one for you! (edited) 6y
