“Earth is part of the solar system.“

This book was published in 2020. This book provides a lot of information on the planets in our solar system. This book can be good to introduce space before the unit. Many students are interested in space and want to learn more about it. This book could become a resource to those students.

I thought this book was very informational and gave a detailed description of all the different types of planets in our solar system.

I think this is a great topic to include in a 1-3 grade classroom. I feel space/astronaut theme could be super engaging for some students. I love the illustrations and the overall message of going for your dreams.

“Ouch! Asteroids and comets often hit this planet.”

This isn‘t a book that I would use in my classroom just because it felt very young. It would be better suited for beginning readers such as maybe preschool or kindergarten.

It could be really fun for children to learn about planets in the solar system however this book I feel as though the illustrations could‘ve been more realistic to what the planets actually look like.
