This was a sweet book that touched on serious topics (cancer, fraud, PTSD, alcoholism.) I enjoyed it- perfect for this time of year since pie was frequently mentioned.

Half audio, half print - normally I have trouble focusing on NF in print, but since I started my boycott of Spotify right in the middle of this, you do what you have to do 🤷♀️ I‘ve since gotten more familiar with Karie which enhanced the reading experience. This is not an easy book, but it‘s an incredibly important one.

This book has been on my TBR forever and the reading of it is overdue. A compassionate and professional look at all the ways trauma hurts us, and the various possibilities if addressing it. So many things make so much sense now. I had to speed-listen to the cure section because my book was due to be returned and I think I need to take more notes and process the info, so I will be rereading it slowly on paper.

An enjoyable black comedy about finding friends and incidentally recovering from traumatic episodes in the past. Some truly lol moments.
