Book haul. Finally got some of my taxes money in so I treated myself. 🥰💛

Spooky smut. Thats what this book was and i was here for it! The book itself is gorgeous with quote pages at the beginning of each chapter. I thought the story was really good and it had me locked to see what would happen next. The chapters are broken up between Corvina and Vad which i loved! I don‘t want to give anything away but you should definitely read it if spooky smut is your jam!

Fell to sleep while reading this, and awoke with the song, Bring Me To Life by Evanescence blasting (not literally). I guess my subconscious has found a song match for this book 😂, and here my waking self has been considering something more classical 🤔. Been ages since listening to this...

I guess “ghost“ wins even over Batman. This book has held my interest over all other current reads...bewitching (so far)!

I thought this was such a fun and quick read- I read it in a day! Two shifter doctors that agree to fake date so that Noah can get promoted and Mackenzie can avoid her grandmother‘s match making. It has all my favorite tropes:

Grumpy- sunshine
Workplace romance
Fake dating

Noah gets super possessive of her especially when other men are around and their scenes are SPICY. I‘m new to the Omegaverse but can‘t wait to read more!

A female alpha, a “damaged” arrow, and a mating at first sight!

It was great to see a female alpha, and the Russian wolf pack (as well as some more of the bears). The care they both took to look after each other following their surprise mating was great. And I love how in this series everything interconnects. We get new povs each book, but the overarching story continues, and we see old MCs too.

The author kept going to this well for far too long, IMO. I may read the second book though, just because it's narrated by Will Watt and I suspect he can make anything interesting.

I think Vaughn is kind of a dud, but sentient beings formed by the psychic internet make up for it

Ok I must officially be in my sappy era because I loved this book. #aardvark did it again by introducing me to a genre and author I never would have tried and I am all the happier for it. Definitely picking up the next book by this author.
