My stalwart companion as I reread ONCE A ROGUE. He‘s so red in the smokey light! I filtered him a bit to capture the colour I actually saw.

The book‘s still great. I love the way these characters bounce off each other, and Allie Therin‘s prose practically reads itself. I open my ereader and suddenly half an hour‘s gone by. I needed this, especially after I bounced off an opaque contemporary fantasy last night.

DGRachel Ahh! I have got to remember I have one of her books on one of my e-readers! I loved the book of hers I read and I‘ve been dying for more truly immersive books. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 57m

This one was much better than the first one. The ending still left something to be desired but UGH I love a fake-dating plotline.

It's a paranormal romance series that follows a friend group in a small town called Mystic Bayou. Well more like chosen family by the end. It is a sweet connection and none of them are the bad boy types. They are a bit spicy though. It's a series of 8 books each following a different couple getting together and bonding with everyone while they all work to help fix the town's troubles. (Continued in comments)

RedxoHearts You could honestly read them alone but I think its much more rewarding to read them all. The story just came together so nicely. Also loved how the author picked other less common beings like a dragon, selkies, a banshee and a werebear. So this review is for all of them and my official rating is 3.5 so round up to 4. My main complaint is that I want more from Mystic Bayou 6d
Deifio Sounds really good! I read a couple of her other books. Too bad that it's an audible only series. 😢 6d

Mehso-so

While I did listen to this one in one sitting, I think it‘s just this side of too silly. Too many pop culture references (what do you MEAN TikTok played an unironic roll in the finale 😭😭) and Frederick was just…weird. The whole sexualization of both characters was a LOT. I never wanna hear a “17th c man” describe a modern woman in a bikini again thank you.
