Please excuse me while I catch up on many #Scarathlon posts.
I really enjoyed this world. Can‘t wait to go back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best part of this book was when the MC stood up to her narcissistic mother and established boundaries.
The rest was a boring cliche. The romance had no tension or drive and neither of the characters were interesting.
I‘ve been really loving rom coms, and particularly witchy rom coms, recently. This had a lot going for it but in the end I think I found most of it too silly to be on board with much of the plot or the central love story. It was very slapstick and the spells, names etc just felt too childish for a spicy scene in the middle of that to make much sense I guess? I loved the MC I just wish the tone had been different.
@5feet.of.fury This witch mailed your book back a few days ago. You probably got it already since we live fairly close. It was one of the only things I managed to read last month and it struck just the fun note I needed in my life! Thank you! And thanks to @suvata for choosing our witchy theme (& for being awesome and organizing such a major event for years running!) & to @DGRachel I had a blast reading about magic with you the past few months!
Mariel is prophesied to be the most powerful witch in her family in centuries. Which makes it even worse when she accidentally summons a demon who won‘t go away until he gets her soul. She can NOT let her mother find out so she pretends to fake date him to save face. The more time they spend together, the less he actually wants her soul. But something else is at play, trying to force both their hands. I loved this Can‘t wait for the friends‘ books
❤️Loved it!
🔮good world building
🌶️ generous amount of spice but doesn‘t overwhelm the story.
