Slight cheat on this - 11yrs, not 10. I went into this knowing these types of books play off fear & making mundane fantastical. That being said, I enjoyed it. I think it's true that many people around us have at least some traits associated with sociopathy - and that these traits may in fact lead to success for some (in competitive environments where empathy may actually hold you back.) #sadbuttrue #published10yearsago #litsy2017readingchallenge

I loved this one. Fantasy is my jam, but I'm usually more focused on urban than epic. Rothfuss builds a world with languages, people, and places that fascinated me. I combined audio with print to absorb it all more quickly. Kvothe is a hero, but I'm questioning if he's really ALL THAT or if he's embellishing. I'll have to read book two to find out more!

BekaReid Yes! I loved Name of the Wind, and want to read book 2 and continue Kvothe's story but have been hesitant to start yet since book 3 isn't finished... 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @BekaReid I feel the same way. If I space them out it'll make the wait for #3 shorter. 7y
Dragon I think he's an unreliable narrator, but that's just me .😀 7y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Dragon Thanks. I'm thinking there's more sides to the story! 7y

The first in the Dublin Murder Squad was a good mystery. I raced through the last couple chapters just wanting to see how it would all go down! A little disappointed in how it ended, but definitely a good book and I'll be reading more in the series. #litsyreadingchallenge #published10yearsago
