Catch and Kill | Ronan Farrow

Here is my month in books. A not entirely satisfying collection but two books did stand out : Catch and Kill is as good as everyone is saying and Kevin Wilson is a new author to me that I want to read more from. On the “ticking off” on achievements front I have finally completed the Booker longlist novels and have one book remaining for #Readharder2019 ! Woohoo, it might nearly be time to read what I want ;)

Finally back on track with reading this month. I was mostly concerned with some #readharder2019 catch up. Fifteen Dogs was easily the unexpected winner of my month, but I loved Invisible Women too. Closing the month with a great #indiebuddyreads is a delight as always.

Redheadrambles She‘s back ! Woohoo 🥳 1w

I did the thing! No, I did ALL THE THINGS. With Her Body and Other Parties, I finished the #readingwomen2019 #readingwomen challenge. This joins #aussiesrule2019 and #readharder2019 #readharder on my completed challenges for 2019! And I'm on track to meet my Goodreads Challenge - currently 4 books ahead.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my cozy mystery option for Read Harder and it probably isn‘t the best Miss Marple mystery. I wanted to read one where Marple was on vacation and while it was nice for the setting to be the West Indies, the mystery was a little lacklustre and implausible.

Quirky, charming and interactive book. I wanted a bit more, but still fun to read. Felt like talking to an old girlfriend.

The premise is silly (identical billionaire triplets find love in a small town). But I've enjoyed sillier. This just didn't work. The first was ok (w/a lot of suspended disbelief), the second had slightly unlikable protagonists, and the third I couldn't even finish. (Hero was a horse's ass. Heroine was a bitch. They might deserve each other; I don't deserve to read it happening.)
