I wanted to like this 2nd instalment of this series as much as the first, but found it difficult. The story itself was not the issue here.

I found it annoying that the author felt the need to continually point out Johanna‘s lineage...again & again. I also very much disliked the condescension she continually uses when speaking to others. I‘m not going to continue this series at this time.

Sunday night #readtobreathe marathon. I‘m a little behind on what I wanted to accomplish and today I‘m aiming for Deep Breaths (read 100 pages) with tagged book. I slept my day off away recovering from working double shifts yesterday so I‘m going to read throughout the night until I get tired enough to fall asleep.

Book mail courtesy of local bookstore A Room of One‘s Own. An overdue splurge 💸💸👋🏻 on buying a new Dune book had to happen once I saw the trailer. Plus I need a book more than 400 pages for #readtobreathe.

Not quite sure what this week is going to bring to the table 🤨😶& therefore I‘m leaving my goals wide open. As much as I‘d love to be in ‘Deep Breathing‘ mode, I‘m going to aim for ‘Even Breathing‘ @ashesofabookdragon
