This was light & funny, with the author adding her opinions into the mix and warning me not to make a strange concoction of tree roots and toadstools to prevent pregnancy, but I can't say these sex lives are a secret. There was insight into contraception, gender roles, adultery, sex acts, and the role religion played in said sex lives, but by the sound of it, there were a lot of court records cited, thus making me think it was all rather common ⬇️
Fun fact: the corset as we know it today was NOT around during medieval times, but ⬇️ 3y
Dumb fact: The courts believed that pregnancy only happened between two willing partners so good luck proving rape if you had a bun in the oven.
