I have no idea where I found this book! A mystery set around high school hockey players, two missing girls and a small town in Minnesota. Quick read, good character detail that made me laugh and know them more by detail than by name.

Not a bad read, especially because it takes place in the Twin Cities so it‘s familiar. It was nice to just relax with something kind of easy but not mind-numbing. All in all, it worked for me!
Several years after my Pauline Literature course at seminary, I finally finished the entire book! It goes fairly in depth on both scholarly questions about the texts, as well as themes and theological implications.
I got some reading to do in the next three weeks, before I head to none other than Greece!

I finished Dial M it‘s a true crime about a local murder to me in the 60s. There‘s a pic of the house in the book & I was curious if it still looked the same & since it‘s right near the half price I was stopping by so I decided to drive by the house. It‘s really beautiful house. I wasn‘t familiar with the case prior reading the book so it was interesting to learn about. Specially since I know the area & knew all the places they were talking about.
A good introduction. It covers the basics, but doesn't shy away from the difficulties.
Happy Jólabókaflóð! Thanks so much to Melyssa @MallenNC for the wonderful book and chocolate. I'm looking forward to settling into this novel set in my home state. ?♥️???❄️?
The writing is good & the characters really do start to become their own. The Klar family is dynamic & has a lot to bring to the table. However, there are a few shifts in POV and a few interjected stories outside of this plot line that served only to pull me out of the story. I enjoyed learning about this bit of history, but the narrative dragged. There are fabulous pieces & the start of a good, slow burn, family drama, it just wasn't up my alley.
I'm reading a new book, see. Minnesota history with gangsters and superb story telling. Really getting the vibe of the 1920s ❤.
