so-soListened to the audiobook...the narration was good and I liked seeing more of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan in action together. But overall, the plot was pretty simple, I wasn't too attached to any of the side characters, and this felt like....a pretty basic Star Wars book compared to others.
I've enjoyed two of James Luceno's other Star Wars works far more. Decent, but not a must-read.

pickI find it pretty surprising that there hasn't been more Lando content, since he was the best part of Solo, and this proves that he has layers to be a solid lead character. Telling the story hinted at in ROS, Lando teams up with Luke to try to save Rey and her family (though they don't know the family's identity or significance). I'm really glad Wookiepedia exists, too, because I referenced it several times 😜

...and this book is really boring. There are lightsaber duels, fistfights, and larger battles, but none resonated with me. Is it because we all know his eventual fate, and therefore, we know Mace will come out of these adventures exactly as at the beginning of this story? I‘d like to think exciting narratives can be constructed around characters who are sure to survive unscathed. But that is not the case here.
