BarbaraTheBibliophage This completely stinks for authors and small publishers. The big guys have so much pull already and now they have even more. And, as readers, it means we have to work harder to support the smaller players. #TGFL 7y

megt I hadn‘t heard this, but it‘s definitely disappointing news. I‘ve won a few Goodreads giveaways hosted by self published authors or smaller presses over the years and I know they were books I likely wouldn‘t have discovered any other way. While I do understand the reasoning behind charging a fee, it certainly doesn‘t have to be so high! 7y

Kristy_K Those pricings are absurd even for a big name publisher or author. This leaves little hope for smaller publishing companies to promote their books. 7y
