Probably the last book I read of 2020 for a book club. I actually already owned it cause it was one of my dollar tree finds. Wasn‘t as good as I‘d hoped. Most of the people didn‘t enjoy it that much. The ending was just so abrupt - we knew the ending from the start but I wanted more details about why things happened.

Pickpick

Wow was this a tough read (I was definitely reading it through my identity as a mother). Its writing is perfect, an unsentimental but eerily relatable examination of working motherhood. I don't want to write much--the unexpected twists are SUCH a part of the reading experience--but this novel is SO horrifying and SO believable. Just amazing.â €

An OK book. The plot could be much better, deeper, in my opinion. I think the book got too shalow for such an important issue. #LeilaSlimani #CancaoDeNinar #ChansonDouce #ThePerfectNanny
