Well that was a several-day pain in the .....
I will never make these ribbon cookies again. The only good thing is several of them were, by default, too ugly to gift so I ate enough of them to feel a little sick.

Went to town making cookies this year! Chocolate gingerbread and Finnish cardamom (thanks to @Bookwormjillk !) modified to be GF and dairy-free, sugar & spice, snickerdoodles, and no-bakes modified from my great-grandma's recipes to be GF and dairy-free, and sugar cutouts filled with gluten and butter at a decorating station (not pictured).
Decisions, decisions! I could be happy with nothing but chocolate chip cookies for the rest of my life, but I also like…
1. Peanut butter cookies (love the fork marks)
2. Walnut snowball cookies
3. Snickerdoodles
Plus I want to TRY pistachio cookies, cinnamon palmiers, red velvet whoopie pies…..
