I had a little too much fun with my DAR chapter today... I typically choose the patriotic song we open our meeting with and some of my ladies were cry-laughing and couldn‘t get thru the selection today. 😂 #todaysdar #riseandshine ☀️

I totally did not realize there was a #LitsyOutage2017 today because this is the ONE DAY I have a holiday event! Every December 16 my #TodaysDAR chapter has a luncheon to commemorate our namesake event, the Boston Tea Party. Now I‘m eating a small bowl of Doritos and gonna read this book and YES I have page flags at the ready.

My friend, distant cousin, fellow Mainer, and fearless #TodaysDAR leader Alyssa just joined because I egged her on. How I am spending this #July4th. We haven't budged for about two hours and I've been sleeping too. #ALittleKnownFactAboutMe is that I'm a very happy member of #TodaysDAR. Genealogy is basically a crossword puzzle mixed with a mystery novel. I'm happy to share my POV on the society and its role in the modern day with anyone who is curious. I believe my ancestors dreamt a dream of America that has not yet come true.
