This is always so hard…..my favourites this year for lots of different reasons.

squirrelbrain I think we have 7 the same, and a few more that almost made my list. 3h
TrishB @squirrelbrain considering the amount of books we both read- that‘s about 1/3 of the best! They must be brilliant. You probably recommended them to me 😁 2h
squirrelbrain I can certainly see a few that I recommended - or forced into your hands in a bookshop! 😜 2h

#Top25Of25 Part 4 of 4

These last days of the year I have been sharing my 25 favorite books of the year.

Today I share my ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ books, reads that I suppose will be all-time favorites.

Scroll down on my feed to see the rest of my #Top25Of25.

staci.reads 3 of those were 5 star reads for me as well! 7h
JenP Playground was also a 5 star read for me and I just bought The Correspondent. Wild dark shore was a 4 star for me. I look forward to checking out your fourth pick. 7h
BarbaraBB @staci.reads If you haven‘t read the fourth you‘ll probably like that one too 💕 7h

BarbaraBB @JenP You‘ll love The Correspondent! And if you pick up Slanting, let me know what you think! 7h
JenP @BarbaraBB I‘m sure I will. I‘ve added it to my tbr for 2026 since I usually like the same books you do. 6h
staci.reads @BarbaraBB already added Slanting Toward the Sea to my tbr! 6h
Crazeedi I have a hold for The Correspondent 6h
AnneCecilie It‘s comforting to see that you don‘t have that many 5 stars books either. I don‘t give start rating, but feel that during a year I read 4-5 exceptionally good books that would equal that rating. Sometimes I feel that everyone is giving every book a 5 star 6h
Lesliereadsalot Such good books! 💕 6h
BarbaraBB @JenP @staci.reads I hope you‘ll love Slantinf as much as I did! 5h
BarbaraBB @Crazeedi Can‘t wait for your review! We‘ll be discussing it in January during #WinterCampLitsy! 5h
BarbaraBB @AnneCecilie I know! I always have just a few, books that really blow me away, make me think and often make me cry too. I think! 5h
BarbaraBB @Lesliereadsalot Many of my favorites were recommended by you! 5h
TrishB I have read 3/4 and agree totally 👍🏻 I have Playground- not got to yet. 5h
BarbaraBB @TrishB In the end we always love the same books. And I am almost sure you‘ll love Playground too. 5h
Cathythoughts I must read Correspondent ✨✨✨ 3h
Suet624 Hmmmm, I‘ll have to find Slanting Toward the Sea. I must‘ve missed your review of the book. Agree 💯 with the other three. (edited) 3h
BarbaraBB @Cathythoughts You really must 😘 3h
BarbaraBB @Suet624 It‘s no heavy Literature, but I loved it! 3h
squirrelbrain As always, we are of the same mind, although I didn‘t love Playground as much as you. 3h
BarbaraBB @squirrelbrain I was wondering indeed what you think of Playground. I knew we both loved the three others. Can‘t wait for your #Top25of25! 2h

And there is some variety: Medium dark (Lucy, The Safekeep), funny dark (Hell of a Book, The Devil's Larder) and dark dark (When We Cease to Understand the World, The Bluest Eye). One not dark: '60 Songs That Explain the 90s'. Full list in the comments: *audio, **re-read, non-fiction (nf), story collection (sc), poetry (p); the rest are novels

merelybookish So exciting!! Watch my TBR explode! 3d
Deblovestoread Screenshot taken! Some new to me titles. I‘ve had such a weird reading year I‘m not sure I can hit 25 but we‘ll see. 3d
ChaoticMissAdventures Oh I love the idea of 25 favorites of 25! I never think a top 10 is enough for those of us who read way too many books. I loved Disappoint Me! She has become an auto buy author for me. 3d
BarbaraBB @ChaoticMissAdventures I loved that book too, read after you were raving about it! I haven‘t read another of her books. Suggestions? 3d
LeahBergen This is a fun idea! I have a couple of these waiting on my shelves. 3d
ChaoticMissAdventures @BarbaraBB this is her sophomore book so only one other out there her first has a lot of the same themes but is not the same at all! 3d
BarbaraBB @ChaoticMissAdventures Thanks! It sounds good indeed! How could I have missed it until now? Stacking! 3d
BarbaraBB @ChaoticMissAdventures @LeahBergen I hope you‘ll share your #Top25Of25 I can‘t wait to add some more books to my TBR 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😉 3d
JenP Ooh, I‘m looking forward to seeing your 5 star reads! 2d
BarbaraBB @JenP Thanks! I hope you‘ll share yours too! 💕 2d
JenP @BarbaraBB I had a slower reading year this year (although finally get back into more regular reading. Will be doing a top 5. Very few 5 star reads for me this year. Here‘s hoping to more reading and more 5 stars in 2026 2d
BarbaraBB @JenP I had few 5 stars too this year, only four! But I had a great reading year otherwise. I hope you‘ll have a good reading year coming up! 2d
sarahbarnes Some great books here! This is a good method for sharing your top 25 books for the year. I didn‘t rank mine with stars but plan to share them in some way anyway! 2d
BarbaraBB @sarahbarnes I can‘t wait for your choices!! Are you on Storygraph? I rate my reads there, it is easy and makes me remember how much (or not!) I liked a book. 2d
sarahbarnes I‘m not on Storygraph! Maybe I need to do that this next year. 2d
BarbaraBB @sarahbarnes It‘s a super friendly app to keep track of your reading. 2d
