I have a few but The Martian springs to mind. It's one of those books I hated but could still recognize that other people might like so I gave it to my husband (not a reader at all) and he loved it.
Honorable mention to All Systems Red. I know everyone loves it because I looked at pages and pages of reviews but I hated it so much, I couldn't even force myself to get through a novella length story. #unpopularopiniom @Libby1

parasolofdoom @Kdgordon88 I've actually only read one Gillian Flynn and it was a short 60+ page pseudo horror thing. It was ok and I have her novels in my tbr but I'm not rushing out to read them. 6y

parasolofdoom @SqueakyChu I'm one that liked that but I read it 16 years ago as a teen and only really remember the hostage situation and no details. My mom wasn't impressed either when I gave it to her 😂. 6y

Samplergal @parasolofdoom I made it through the first one. The second one about 3/4. The third about a third. Hated all of them. Both my children loved them and I was trying to bond via literature. Ha! Ended up dropping them off at the movies when they came out( I NEVER did that). I gave her another shot with Casual Vacancy. Ugh. #reservationForOne 6y
