#AAM I don‘t think Zadie and I are a good fit. I was mildly amused by the first 2/3 of this book but by the time part 3 arrived, I had mentally checked out. I did manage to skim the last third but I was exhausted by the wordiness and pretentiousness. Nope 👎🏼 Between so-so and pan ~ span? #Pop21 #WomanFictionAwardWinner ( so, what do I know?!?)
AmyG Yes. A LOT of wordiness. And drama. 4y
Cinfhen I felt the same way when I read this one @AmyG

emilyhaldi I am still shocked that I enjoyed this book so much 😂 I feel sure I would have aligned with your review except that I happened to pick it up at juuuuust the right time, and it clicked! 🤪 4y
emilyhaldi That being said, none of her other books have interested me and reviews I‘ve read have not been favorable... 4y
Cinfhen I bought her essay collection, so I‘m going to give it a go @emilyhaldi but I think I‘m gonna need to breakup with zadie 🙄 4y
