I loved Today Tonight Tomorrow so I was excited to read the sequel. While I did enjoy the one as well, I didn't like it as much as the first book.

#Read2025 #SeriesLove2025 This anthology is only sort of the second book in a series. Blackout takes place in New York City during a blackout. I lived in New York long enough to know how scary that could possibly be even though I never actually experienced one. Whiteout is written by the same six authors and takes place during a blizzard in Atlanta. As a native West Virginian, I always find reactions of Southerners to a few snowflakes to (cont)⬇️
This was a fun read. It made me think a lot about what‘s going on in the world right now. It was an interesting story. It really makes you think about the present and the future. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not really in the mood to give an extensive review of this. It was a comforting, gentle, coming of age story. The writing, especially the expression of Annie and Liza‘s romance, was sweet. I wish I read this in high school. I find the cover a bit weird though…a bit too Hallmark movie which doesn‘t quite fit. Maybe that‘s a me problem.
Didn't like it as much as the first one, but it was still a lot of fun. I'm rather into fun, fast-paced reads lately, instead of the boring DNFs I've been slogging through.
My only DNF. Baby E took out my bookmark and I was more relieved than mad.
This book was readable but pointless. Geared more towards YA might explain the weak storyline. A young girl hears voices telling her to kill people but for the most part everyone she kills is bad. She‘s kind of like a female Dexter. Anyway glad this was a Lending Library Freebie otherwise I never would have picked it up.
Here are the retellings I'm hoping to tackle this month for the #JaneAustenThenAndNow read: spicy S&S in a beach town, an S&S murder mystery, a polarizing modern version, and three YA takes because dang it, I love YA. Authors Rosie Rushton and Staci Hart have adapted all of Austen's novels, and while I've read Rushton's before, Hart's are new to me. We'll see how this goes...! Anyone else out there looking for some S&S-adjacent reads for February?
