Happy Christmas Eve! 🤗

In Luke Chapter24, Jesus has been resurrected and rose from the grave. “He is not here; he has risen!” said the angel to the women looking for Jesus in His tomb. Hallelujah! 🙌🏻

This concludes the #AdventChallenge. If you were following along, you learned the story of Jesus‘s life just in time to celebrate His birthday!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! 🎄 ❤️

Gissy Same to you and to your family!

Luke Chapter 23 is a tough one… it covers Jesus being unjustly accused, tortured, crucified, and killed. Luke left out all the graphic gory detail though, which I do appreciate at this time of year. I prefer to reflect on the heaviness of that on Easter weekend. Yet we have hope, for we know tomorrow is coming!
Day 23 Chapter 23 #AdventChallenge

Megabooks For sure! Easter is my favorite holiday. It carries more meaning for me than Christmas. 2y

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it,and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”

Luke 22:19-20

Thank you Jesus! ❤️

The Widow‘s Offering
As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

“…At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God‘s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”
Luke 20:33–36

BookBabe This is something I had wondered about… I was relieved to have Jesus explain it. 😅 Elizabeth Taylor (conveniently for this post 😛) was married to seven different men.👀Fun fact: she converted to Judaism in 1959. #AdventChallenge 2y

Jesus at the Temple
When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be a house of prayer‘; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.‘”

The Little Children and Jesus
People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. So watch yourselves.”

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
