I love all Curtis Sittenfeld writes and this did not disappoint. Stories of mid-western women primarily my age group (mid-30s-early 40s), dealing with expectations around babies, parenting, career choices, romance, and trump. My favorite was the one of the woman looking back at her time at Dartmouth. Took me straight back to college. Many stories felt so real I forgot it was fiction. #booked2018 #publishedin2018 #airplaneread

Blaire Thank you! Heading to a friend‘s wedding. Her sense of place is spot on. She described several neighborhoods I‘ve lived in and the way she wrote about the people (esp new mothers) and places was perfect. 6y

This was the perfect #AirplaneRead for our recent trip to #NOLA- read half on the way there, and finished it on the way back! I didn‘t do much reading at all there but I did bring in a pretty great #BookHaul at the Garden District Book Shop, featured beside this creepy page turner!

Just finished chapter 20 #chapter20 of my #currentread. This book, which takes place in the 1970s in South Africa, is told from the alternating points of view of a 10 year old white girl and the black woman who is acting as her caregiver. The Affair | Lee Child

Lee Child does it again. These are my go-to travel book because I know it will completely occupy me on a plane ride. This one has reacher's back story when he is still in the military. He travels to Mississippi to investigate several murders in a small-town and see if the nearby army base was involved. Fast-paced and thrilling as always. This one seemed even darker than some of the others. #pageturner #airplaneread
