pickA low pick for me. The first in the looking glass wars series (#SeriesLove2025). It is a battle between white and black imaginations (Alyss vs Red). There was a lot of world building, and maybe it was because I listened to this, but I had a hard time imagining some of the world 😅. I will still continue the series, but may pick up the print next time.
so-soWhereas I loved the writing and found it to work so perfectly for an Alice in Wonderland continuation, I thought the story was lacking. It just didn‘t have enough to it that was really different and interesting. I agree with a lot of reviews that said that it needed more of Wonderland and less of the parallel story. I wanted more from this, but also a HUGE Alice fan, so I didn‘t hate it because it did have some cool elements.
