Enjoying my listen so far. I still haven't actually read Alice in Wonderland yet. I gotta do that soon.

I read this book in May 2017, not the best story, slow pace but it had something that I liked. It was a sad romance story between these two characters 💔

3✨ This was a bit bizarre. I didn‘t realize it was set in the future at first, so the tech involved in this story confused me. It was a short story that tended to repeat itself and leave details out at other times. There maybe wasn‘t a chance for world building, but it did a great job on discussing the clues we needed for the crime. Pretty unusual just like Alice and wonderland.

Roary47 Note it is the first of 5 books in this title. 2mo

A very solid conclusion to the Nightmare-verse.

At first I was wishing for a romantic storyline recap (things were a bit entangled) but the story focussed on the action. New nightmare creatures, all sorts of Wonderland magic &our MC facing down her fears.

Some of the real world emotional subplots were put to the wayside in favor of the resolution, but it was really good.

Highly recommend the series, it‘s written v teenage but it‘s fun & funny.

Lastly, she pictured to herself how this same little sister of hers would, in the after-time, be herself a grown woman; and how she would keep, through all her riper years, the simple and loving heart of her childhood: and how she would gather about her other little children, and make their eyes bright and eager with many a strange tale, perhaps even with the dream of Wonderland of long ago: and how she would feel with all their simple joys,

So I hate dust jackets on books & there‘s hardly every anything underneath them but obviously that‘s just how things are now, this one has nothing on the front cover but look how much prettier the spine would be on a shelf. Ugh (not that I even have the other 2 to display since I audiobooked them but then everyone started reporting how awful Audible pays especially to smaller authors from marginalized backgrounds so I got the hardcover)

Loved the throwback to when I was a child. I have to say I do prefer “wonderland” to “through the looking glass” but both are such beautiful dreamy fantasies!
