I don‘t agree with his political views but he certainly makes reading history entertaining. What I thought was just going to be a discussion about the Salem Witch Trials turned into one of religious freedoms and the American Revolution. Who knew we had a problem with the separation of church and state from the beginning!

Think I will be keeping this series after tomorrow (which is National Clean Out Your Bookcase Day). Love this series and was so happy to have found it. Saddened to hear that the author is battling cancer at the moment. Sending her happy vibes and thoughts of warm comforting bowls of noodles

Watched Shadowlands last night with the hubby (if you haven‘t seen, I highly recommend the version with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Debra Winger) before settling down to read this. This week was the 10th anniversary of my Oma‘s passing and I‘m finding it a little hard. Perhaps this will help.

I can honestly say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but then again I have a sick sense of humour and find true crime fascinating. I also work in the prison system so I understand the authors dark sense of humour and her “female in a male dominated job” life. Her style of writing was informative but not condescending making it easy to read and understand.

Picked this up because I needed something meaningful in my life right now. Something that questions and enlightens. Think this might just do the trick

Found a new series that I just can‘t seem to put down. Picked up numbers 3-5 at my bookstore but held off starting them before I ordered 1 & 2. I have to start at the beginning of a series (I‘m slightly OCD) but binge read them. Bummed that now I have to wait a few days before number 6 arrives. But they say anticipation makes it taste that much better! Also, the goth in me squeals every time I look on the covers to see the skulls “hidden” there

Thoroughly enjoying this series. Picked it up on a whim but now can‘t put them down. Read until my eyes bleed but in an hour, I‘m picking it back up for more. Kinda like Chinese food, an hour later you‘re hungry for more!
