I still need to look and see which I'd like to read, but here is a list of ones I have & ones I own. Since I was so scant on doing reviews parts of this year I've marked the ones I loved (top pick!) and ones that were still fantastic (HM - honorable mention). I honestly didn't think I would've read so many because I've read more nonfiction and fewer books overall this year. ToB and I just must've been on the same wavelength. #tob25 #tob25longlist

This book keeps popping up in best of the year lists. I was dreading reading it because it‘s a collection of stories. But I have FOMO on these lists and knew I‘d be forcing myself to read it. HOWEVER! I‘m shocked to say this was a total winner for me! Loved the original concept and vivid characters. The connected stories were just enough to carry on the thread but still be completely unique. Cringy but thought provoking. I accept “Rejection”! ⬇️

Many thanks to @BarbaraBB for sharing the link to the #ToB25 longlist...I'm supposed to be on their mailing list, but the longlist was surprisingly challenging to locate.

I've interacted with 8 of the longlist titles (finished 6, DNFed 2). There are several I'm excited about, but mostly I feel like, didn't we JUST do #ToB24???

These are (some) of the titles I‘m interested in from the #tob25 long list. The first three I already have checked out. The next one (Slime) I own and the next (Mood Swings) is available on hoopla on audio. The others I‘m on hold for or can easily get from the library.

And these are the ones I own but still need to read. Too many to read before the #ToB25 shortlist will be announced. Which book I must definitely read??

The #ToB25 long list is here. I‘ve read 18. The top are my favorites. The bottom row I‘m less enthusiastic about. Many more I hope to read and some new to me. I‘ll post next about the ones I‘m able to get ahold of/will prioritize before the shortlist.

I am in Antwerp, Belgium, for the weekend with my family to celebrate both my and my husband‘s birthday. My kids treated me on a visit to this great bookstore where I could spend 50 euros on books. The best gift, especially on the day the #ToB25 longlist has been published 🙌🏽🩷
