Let me start by saying, beautifully illustrated graphic novel. Even though this takes place mostly in Argentina it is about a Ukrainian, it does to an extent fit in with Gulag narratives. It's a nicer read than many I've read which may or may not be down to it being a graphic novel. It helps to have some knowledge of Russian/Ukrainian history, especially Ukrainian Jewish history & Russian anarchist history. #anarchist #historygetsgraphic
