Day 4 of #WickedWhispers is #Disguise
The Renegades series has lots of superhero disguises, hidden identities and secrets. I highly recommend the series if you haven't read it yet.

When I saw today's #springskies prompt, I immediately remembered Max Everhart aka The Bandit from Marissa Meyer's Renegades. #childwithpowers
It was good, but I didn‘t love it. The characters were kind boring for me sometimes and cringey. The plot was decent but it wasn‘t very interesting. 3/5⭐️
This book is about Nova, a prodigy seeking revenge against the class of prodigies known as the renegades. As nova gets closer to her end goal she must navigate her feelings for Adrian a fellow renegade with secrets. If you like books about justice/revenge you may like this book. This point of view is third person it is established by the author because he used third person pronouns and the narration is from the perspective of different characters.
An excellent superhero book told from a villain‘s perspective. For the full review, please visit http://benjamin-m-weilert.com/index.php/2022/09/21/book-renegades-2017/
I liked this one, it was neat to see the perspectives of hero‘s and villains.
Hey Littens... Sorry I was MIA for the past couple of days. We took a trip to Albany during a snow storm on Friday and we had to end up staying there for the night. So we did some shopping. These are a couple of books that I picked up for myself.

In a world where people having powers is the norm, 16 year old Nova is trying to bring down the hero organization called the Renagades. Adrian is trying to find her. After failing to kill the head Renagade, Nova goes undercover within the Renagades to bring them down from the inside. If you like books that have lots of action and mystery, then this is the book for you.
I really cut it close with this one. It‘s due on Tuesday and I had almost 500 pages left. The characters‘ powers are so original. I liked the plot and the characters and how the reader had to decide who‘s side they‘re on for themselves. But, I could have done without the love plot. Also, I think that is a little weird that the characters couldn‘t figure out what Agent N was from context. 4⭐️
Loving this so far bur gosh I got off track for reading last month. Here‘s my September #bookspin. Will do bingo once I finish a novel this month. Only read 3 for last month and none were my spins 😳 bookspin is hosted by @TheAromaofBooks
A visit to the newest Strand, Columbus Ave. pretty fruitful. NYC Trip is up to 7 books bought. Two and a half more days to go, with a payday in there.
My first book of July!
I loved the plot of this book, I've never read a book about superheroes like this so I enjoyed the originality of it. The dual POV worked well, and Nova is such a cool morally grey character. I loved the dynamics between the variety of characters, it's confusing at times because there is a lot. Some parts were predictable, pacing was fast, lots of action and I liked the enemies to lovers romance. Cool world building and end
"Heroism wasn't about what you could do, it was about what you did"
It was an amazing book and I cant wait to read the next one in the series. I think one of my favorite characters is either Phobia because he is mad mysterious, or Max because he's mad adorable.
Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you so much @Sweetkokoro for this awesome book and chocolate! I can‘t wait to dig into both. #jolabokaflodswap
Wow! This book was awesome! But also I am a huge sucker for anything with super heroes and powers. But I identify with both of the main characters and the author really blurs the line of which side is in the right. I think they both kind of are in their own way. I figured out the cliff hanger at the end, kind of obvious I thought. But I still really enjoyed it. 5/5 stars!
Did you ever forget you were reading a book? Every time I stop this one I completely forget about it until I check what‘s on my phone.
This is crazy long, not that interesting and a lesser version of the Lunar Chronicles.
I‘m trying to finish, but I don‘t really care about this story. 🤷🏾♀️

I‘m not a superhero person, but y‘all, the reviews were so good, and they were right! I loved Nova, I loved Adrian, and I found both of their conflicted feelings about their respective sides 100% believable and logical. I immediately downloaded the next book the second I finished it! 8/10
There's nothing mind-blowing here, but it's a fun, angsty novel touching on issues of trust, responsibility, family, and the fine line between hero and villain. I can see myself reading the next in the series, probably instead of reading the next title on my list for June.
Audiostitching. My daughter and I are planning our first away-from-the-house indoor excursions since March this week, so I stitched up a couple of more comprehensive masks for us. (The one at the top was a prototype that was too small.) Pretty pleased with how they turned out, but because of the audiobook, I associate the masks with angsty superheroes. Not sure yet if that's a good thing or not.
This whole series would work so well on screen, I can‘t help but think #thisshouldbeamovie! #bibliomaynia
I love that my daughter asked me to read this so she and I could talk about it together, but ever since she asked me, I've had the Styx song stuck in my head. Not a bad song...just incessant.
#ISpy a book with a building on it. Thanks for the tag @CoffeeK8 . @dgingo @TNbookworm can you find a book with a warlock it.
It‘s been awhile since I‘ve been on Litsy! I have been reading and plan to reply to some #listylove tomorrow. How is possible to feel as if I‘ve done nothing but still so busy? Gotta get more organized this week! Hope you all are well!

📚 Renegades and Shorefall are the two books I am working on at the moment.
📚 The Rentless Moon an ARC
📚 The weather was so nice this past week. It only rained just for short while Tuesaday.
I wanted to love this but it didn't come close to my love of the Lunar Chronicles or Heartless. While the ending left me curious enough to continue on and I loved the idea and many of the characters. It felt so long and it took over 400 pages for the story to actually really start. Hoping the next ones will pick up!
I really enjoyed this book!! It was on my TBR for 2 years so I'm glad I got it off of there this year!!!
4/5💚s
The speed of which I completed this book tells you everything you need to know. 552 pages in 9 days. 😱 I‘m a slow reader & I‘ve been busy but thankfully my kids are on break so we could all stay up late for me to read. 😜 I‘m a big fan of superheroes, internal struggle, & forbidden romance & this book had it all. Can‘t wait to see what will happen in the next book. This one ended on quite the cliffhanger. 😬
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I read “Renegades” for the second time and I still love it as much as I did the first time. I love the world that Meyer has created with subsequent world-building, characters, and plot. I have yet to read the second and third books of the trilogy, so I‘m excited to start those next!
I have mixed feelings on this one. I wasn‘t sure I liked it part way through this afternoon, but now I‘m convinced I need to read the second one. 🤣🤷🏻♀️
An amazing read, I could not have hoped for anything better from the author of the Lunar Chronicles. I love Nova, her character is an interesting balance between the goods and evils in the world she is living in. I love the corruption in both ends of the Anarchists and the Council, very relatable to real life and a good talking point for all ages. 4.8 stars! #renegades #marissameyer
