Magpie Murders | Anthony Horowitz
post image

Tagging Magpie Murders since it has a boring cover and I left it out of my collage. 🙂 Just checked pub dates and first up is either The Wedding Date Bargain, Magpie Murders, or The Summer House, because they're all 6/6 pub dates. #aprilbookmail #bookmail #tbr #apriltbr

Kiss Carlo: A Novel | Adriana Trigiani
post image

I've only ever read one Adriana Trigiani - The Shoemaker's Wife - and I quite liked it. But it was sad. And this book is HEFTY. I'm a little worried that it'll take a long time to read, and then be sad at the end. 😢 #aprilbookmail

Girl Last Seen | Nina Laurin
post image

"A debut psychological thriller that reads like a dangerous cocktail with equal parts Gillian Flynn, Chelsea Cain, and Paula Hawkins." I'm getting a little tired of Gillian Flynn comparisons, anyone else? #aprilbookmail

Maggie0557 Time to stop with the Gillian Flynn comparisons; hypes a book too much and takes away from a perfectly good book on its own merit. 7y

A troubled teenager is found murdered, in this, the sequel to "I'm Traveling Alone". I've never seen a double volume #arc like this before- it includes copies of both books. #aprilbookmail

kendrastephaniekaryn I'd read that just for the title! 7y
howjessicareads the title is awesome, but the eyes creep me out! 👀 @kendrastephaniekaryn 7y

The Mentor: A Thriller | Lee Matthew Goldberg
post image

"Cape Fear meets Wonder Boys in this story of a book editor and his mentor as past secrets and a depraved manuscript dangerously entangle their lives." ? Um yeah, I think I'm too wussy for this one. #aprilbookmail

I've read two other books in the Hiro Hittori series and they were good! Mysteries set in samurai-era Japan. #aprilbookmail

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Oooo, have not heard of these. Mystery and ancient Japan, you say? Two great tastes that taste great together! 7y
howjessicareads @TobeyTheScavengerMonk yes! I've read 2 and 3 I think? And I feel like I learned so much about 17th century Japan! And how I would not have survived. 😂 7y

Eeek this one hits a little close to home! A woman is fleeing across the Arizona desert and her children are taken. 😰 #aprilbookmail

Librarylady I'm reading this one today. Loving it, but finding it hard to read as a mother. Very scary. 7y
