I‘ve had this sitting in my next up pile for quite a long time now (and yes, I get the irony of that statement) so I thought I‘d finally give it a go. I like Amster-Burton‘s comedic podcasts, Spilled Milk and Look Inside This Book Club, and his writing voice is the same as in both of the podcasts.

OMG! This guy...😍😍😍
I was never a poetry lover, but this man is amazing! Atticus is a name of an anonimous author that publishes his work on Instagram. His poems are short but so freakin' on point.
People all around the world have been gping wild about his work, and I'm one of them. Check him out asap! 👑

I found this gem at a local coffee/book shop with my dear one and it seemed a perfect fit for the day. I am in love with his simplicity, his honesty, and how with a few words, the reader is able to visualize exactly what he‘s writing about. A very unique writing style that offers much more power than initially expected. #poetry #atticus

Atticus and Scout stand out in my mind when I think of #belovedcharacters. #ToKillAMockingbird is still one of my favorite books. I have been hesitant to read #GoSetAWatchman because I don‘t want it to ruin my idealistic view of #Atticus, but I do want to read it someday. Who are your most beloved characters for #ReadingResolutions?

Cathythoughts Great post. Love the pic 👍🏻❤️ 2y
bentchbites Im scared of starting go set a watchman, too! But omg! I love this pic! I have the edition with that cover but I‘ve never seen it laid out like that! So pretty! 2y
BookCottageBlog Just loved this post. I read Watchman - and now wish I hadn't. It just wasn't very good. But it will never tarnish the love I have for Mockingbird. Now I'm off to find my favorite quote. 2y

tracey38 This was a great book. I haven't read the next one either though. Not sure I want to, lol. 2y
shadowspeak17 I would not recommend Go Set a Watchman. I read it and wished I hadn‘t wasted my time. The Atticus stuff wasn‘t great, but really, the rest of the book was a mess too. The “plot,” of you can even call it that, was extremely weak, and the book in general didn‘t seem even close to being ready for publication, yet, here it is. 👎🏽 2y
1001BooksPodcast Unpopular opinion: I really liked go set a watchman. I think it captured that moment in early adulthood when you realize you and your parents have different opinions on big issues but that you can still love each other really well. And I think the portrayal of Atticus is realistic for the time period and made him more complex. Plus Didn‘t dim my love of mockingbird at all. 2y
britt_brooke Ha! Just seeing this. 💚#greatmindsthinkalike I have no plans to read Go Set a Watchman. 2y
Jess7 I figured yours would be Holden Caulfield @britt_brooke 2y
Jess7 That‘s good to hear a different opinion @1001BooksPodcast . I bought it and I‘ve heard both perspectives before. I‘m really torn. Maybe eventually, I will read it 2y
britt_brooke @Jess7 He is my most beloved, but since I‘m rereading To Kill a Mockingbird right now, Scout and Atticus are getting the love. 😁 2y
Jess7 Haha, that‘s fair! @britt_brooke :-) 2y
kspenmoll ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 2y
kspenmoll @1001BooksPodcast Actually I agree. Also I was not as upset with how Atticus was portrayed. But I do think she did not publish it for a reason( not well written) & unfortunately believe her lawyer just did it fir sensation & $$$. (edited) 2y
1001BooksPodcast @kspenmoll agreed, makes me sad she was taken advantage of. 2y
Jess7 @curious_niffler - see the comments above. Some appreciated the second book bc of the time period it reflect, and others didn‘t and felt it either changed their view of Atticus or wasn‘t in finished form. I feel like the views are definitely divided. 2y
curious_niffler Lol posted the too soon but I think I‘m going to go ahead and read itand hope I won‘t be disappointed 2y
