Kalalalatja @Joybishoptx I actually know a book with a character named Joy! 😄 7y
Kalalalatja @LauraBeth unfortunately not, otherwise there would have been a lot to choose from 😄 7y
Kalalalatja @Jas16 I can't find her in the Litsy database, but I will try to look her up! 7y
annahenke Uprooted has a character named Katja but I'm not positive how it's spelled. I listened to it as an audiobook. 7y
Kalalalatja @LauraBeth that sounds really interesting actually! Thank you 👍 7y
Kalalalatja @annahenke nice! Maybe that's the final reason I need for picking it up 😄 7y
Kristy_K Not a character, but an author. 🙂 7y
LauraBeth All I need to know is that it's Jackie Brown meets The Sex Pistols 😀 7y
Kalalalatja @Kristy_K that sounds awesome! My #tbr is blowing up today 😄 7y
Kalalalatja @LauraBeth what more could you want 😄😄 7y
Martta There is a YA series which has a main character called Katja. I think the series was published originally in Norway. The writer is called Ellinor Rafaelsen. That was one of my favourites when I was growing up. 7y
Kalalalatja @Martta Wow, a whole series? That's exciting 👏 7y
Martta Yes, I'm sure it's a series and quite a long one as well. I remember reading many of them when I was younger. I think it must contain atleast 12 books or so. Katja was a very good character if I remember correctly and she had an "addiction" to salt candy. 7y
readinginthedark @Joybishoptx Joy Harjo is a fantastic author! Or if you're interested, there's a book of letters by C.S. Lewis's wife whose name was Joy. 7y
Kalalalatja @Martta maybe I can find a Danish translation somewhere, otherwise I will need to brush up on my Norwegian 😄 7y
Martta Aren't they pretty close to each other? Or is it only Swedish and Norwegian people who can understand each other? I think there might be Danish translation of the series also since they usually do the translations in several nordic languages. Not sure though. 7y
Kalalalatja @Martta yes they are rather close - it is easier for me to read Norwegian than to understand it when spoken though. Which is kinda bad, since my grandmother is from Norway actually 😳 7y
Martta I know the feeling. I'm supposed to understand Swedish because I had to study it for years at school but I don't really speak it at all. 7y
