A #historicalmystery for my #weekend read. Set in a #library in Leeds in 1925, the story has a library ghost, a monkey 🐒 and a search for a long-list child. I #couldn't resist the curved library staircase cover! #cozymystery #mystery

I remember reading this book on my mom's phone in 6th grade, and I COULD NOT STOP. I read it anywhere at anytime, and when I finally got the physical copy, I sped right through it! I love the series, and this one is my favorite from it!

@RealLifeReading
There has not been one of Louise Penny's books featuring Armand Gamache & Three Pines that I have been able to "put down." In fact each time her newest is released, I pre-order the book but put off reading it awhile so I can savor the experience longer...Needless to say I have not cracked open her latest, A Great Reckoning.

Laura317 I know! I am reading them for the first time. I've read the first two. I'm taking my time going through them. I want to save them for cold weather. 8y
kspenmoll @Laura317 still putting of reading Nature of the Beast but its now one of my October reads. 8y

I am back from my weekend with family, and starting to catch up on the photo challenges I have missed!

Starting with today's challenge, this is a small selection of books I could not put down. All of these had stories that gripped me from the start and made it impossible to not continue with the series!

ReadingOver50 All of those look great😄 8y

#couldn‘tputitdown #somethingforSept Was looking through the book case for inspiration and saw “Into Thin Air”. I am introvert, more happy with a book in a comfie chair than pretty much anywhere else and I have a phobia of heights, so this book is in many ways the stuff of my nightmares, yet I remember that once I started this book, I could not put it down. The true tale of a summiting attempt on Everest which goes terribly wrong leaving some

Oblomov26 participants dead, some crippled and some like Krakauer shaken and guilt ridden for his actions on the mountain. If you ever had an urge to mountaineer especially on high peaks this book will go a way to dissuading you. 8y
LeahBergen So true! I couldn't put this one down either. 8y
ReadingOver50 I saw this movie last month. Amazing story. 8y
