pickThis was….deliciously twisted! My Goodreads account says I read this a few years ago but I have no memory of it. And how would I forget something so unsettling and depraved? There is some serious trauma and mental illness going on here (trigger warnings galore) and I really enjoyed (enjoyed? Not really sure that‘s the right word) watching all the pieces fall into place. I really wish Gillian Flynn would write more books! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
pickFlynn is no one-hit wonder. Even though Sharp Objects didn‘t quite live up to her most popular book, it was still good. Highly readable, and darker, if you can believe it. This book mixes together the “beautiful woman with dark secrets” idea with the essence of Southern Gothic, and the results are impressive. pickThe writing is ok, story is entertaining but my favorite part was the ending, gave the book that little extra that it was missing.

An informative and interesting graphic novel about Cook‘s experience living with Borderline Personality Disorder. I enjoyed the alternating chapters of more graphic content then more text heavy descriptive content. I think that gave the reader more insight into her feelings and experiences than a regular graphic heavy version might have. ⬇️
